For the keynote, Persona wanted to show their robot throwing sparks and welding inside a massive HD Hyundai shipyard digital twin. The catch? Zero fake animation allowed. Every single movement had to be grounded in hardcore, validated physics.
Injecting Cinematic Adrenaline in Omniverse
After Persona fed Xsens mocap data through NVIDIA IsaacLab to train a bulletproof RL policy, they handed the raw USD data over to us.
Our founder, Pekka Varis—stepping in as Omniverse Animator—took that physics-perfect simulation and cranked it to eleven. Through meticulous scene design, dialed-in lighting, and incredibly realistic welding sparks, Pekka brought the shipyard to life in NVIDIA Omniverse. While the title says “Animator,” this project proves that real-time robotic simulation is the real MVP here.
